Role: Founder , Lead Writer & Planning Analyst

Doreen is a practicing assistant planner at Supreme Plans Consultants Limited with over two years of professional experience. She is passionate about urban planning and committed to creating inclusive, sustainable spaces that meet the needs of communities. As a founder of Community Connect, Doreen plays a vital role in shaping the organization’s voice and impact.
At Community Connect, she:

Leads the writing and planning analysis efforts
Breaks down complex regulations and policies into relatable stories
Crafts blog posts, planning briefs, and listicles that make planning accessible
Participates actively in community forums, workshops, and outreach programs

Beyond her technical work, Doreen is deeply engaged with the communities she serves, advocating for planning that truly reflects their needs and aspirations.

BRUCE KITIVO MAKAU

Role: Co- Founder , Strategy Lead & Spatial Planner

Bruce is a dedicated urban planner with strong expertise in spatial analysis and policy formulation. With experience working on national housing and land reform projects, he brings a strategic eye and an inclusive approach to planning. Bruce is also passionate about photography and urban exploration, capturing the city’s stories through his lens.
At Community Connect, he:

Oversees review and quality control of all planning work
Leads spatial analysis and policy research efforts
Coordinates stakeholder engagement and collaborative initiatives
Uses photography to document urban life and enrich storytelling

CHARITY CHEPKURUI CHERUIYOT

Role: Co- Founder , Visual Storyteller & Podcast Host

Charity is a skilled urban planner and visual storyteller who brings creativity and data together to make urban issues accessible and engaging. With a background in socio-economic research, GIS mapping, and graphic design, she excels at turning complex information into compelling visuals. Charity is also a co-host of the Community Connect podcast, where she amplifies voices and shares stories that matter.
At Community Connect, she:

Leads visual communication and branding efforts
Designs infographics, book illustrations, and podcast materials
Creates SEO-friendly visuals to enhance blog and social media content
Supports data analysis and GIS mapping for research projects

Charity’s blend of artistic skill and urban knowledge makes her the creative heart of the team.

SISCO JEPKOECH

Role: Operations & Procurement Coordinator

Sisco brings essential logistics and procurement expertise to Community Connect, ensuring that our events, projects, and publications run smoothly. With a background in procurement and contract management, she handles everything from supply chain coordination to budget tracking.

Manages event logistics and coordination
Oversees procurement and vendor relations
Tracks budgets and ensures compliance with policies
Supports supply chain and inventory management for projects
